How do I know which version of Martial Arts Organizer I have?

Open Martial Arts Organizer 4 and go to the Main Menu.
The Version # is in the middle of the screen.

How do I find out if a newer version of Martial Arts Organizer is available?

All registered users are sent an email as soon as a new version is released. You can always check for, download and install each update by opening Martial Arts Organizer 4 and going to the Main Menu.
In the middle of the screen at the bottom is a button.
An internet connection is required.

How do I get the latest version?

Registered Users can download Martial Arts Organizer free of charge for one year from the date of purchase. If you don't have high speed internet, you may wish to purchase a CD Subscription and have CD's mailed to you each time an update is released.

How get my data into the new version?

Open the version of Martial Arts Organizer 4 you are currently using with the Master password. Go to the Wizards menu in the Menu Bar at the top of your computer screen. Select "Updating Martial Arts Organizer" from the Wizards menu. All of the instructions are right on the screen.

There's also a detailed description of the Updating process in the built in Help. Just click the Help button, then select Updating from the drop down list of categories.

Fixed totals on Inventory Wholesale Re-Order report.

The picklist for Inventory items on the Invoice Entry screen now displays items which need to be re-ordered in pink, and items which have a Quantity in Stock of zero in red.

Duplicating a student record now properly duplicates the student photo.

Checkins per day programming changed.

Added Blank Attendance card.

Added Class Counter field to list of Merge fields available on Attendance Greeting screen.

Added sort at startup preference. See the Preferences / General screen.

More changes regarding double sided printing error when using Hewlett Packard printers. Version 4v34 attempts to address all known double sided printing issues with all makes of ink jet printers. Please update to Version 4v34 and if you are still receiving an error message please UNCHECK the "Restore Print Settings" checkbox on the Preferences screen. If you are STILL getting the double sided printing error, please email Tech Support using the Support button to create a pre-formatted Tech Support email, and provide the following information: the make and model of your printer, and the version of print driver software installed on your computer.

Fixed wrong student number appearing on Fast Pay Wizard screen.

Fixed slow sorting when using new Class Enrollment feature.

Fixed incorrect Window Resizing preference after restoring.

Added four Class Enrollment merge fields to Form Letters and Templates: Class Name, Class Instructor, Class Location, Class Days & Time. Please select a Class Name in order to use these fields in a Template.

Fixed blank page printing afer each Certificate or Landscape letter.

The "Do Not Restore Print Settings" preference has been removed from the Preferences/General screen, and replaced with a "Restore Print Settings" checkbox. This box should remain UNCHECKED, especially if you are receiving any type of double sided printing error message, which occurs with some HP printers. Only check this box if instructed by Tech Support to do so.

When updating from a previous version, if you rece

ive an error message regarding Class Lists disregard this error message. Saved Class Lists are a new feature (see below), so there is no data to transfer from your previous version.

r Class Enrollment! Users can now create lists of classes, then enroll a student in all classes in the list. Click the Help button and read "Class Info -> Saved Class Lists."

Added the Next Test Eligibility fields (from the Style of Instruction Details screen) to the list of merge fields in the Attendance Check In Greeting Editor.

New Feature!
Easier tracking of Promotions! Added Promotion check box and Style of Instruction drop down menu to Notes entry screen. Just check the new Promotion checkbox on any note, and select a Style of Instruction and the note will appear on the Style of Instruction Details screen in the bottom left corner. Also, if you create a Note and select a Style of Instruction, it will appear on the Style of Instruction Details screen.

Added drop down menu below Follow Ups button on the Notes screen. Select "Due Only" then click the Follow ups button and only follow ups which are due will be displayed. Or select "Search" then click the Follow Ups button and a Find screen will be displayed. Click Print to print the report, or use the blue arrows to browse the found records.

Follow Ups Report now uses the above Find screen mentioned above for greater flexibility.

Follow Ups Report redesigned.

Added total number of Styles a student is enrolled in on the Attendance screen.

Added warning if enrolling a student in classes with no Style & Rank selected.

When deleting a Rank from a Style of Instruction, the user is now prompted to move students at the rank to be deleted to a lower, previous rank, or the higher, next rank. Styles and attendance are then automatically updated to reflect this change.

New Report: Student Ranks (under Student Info or Promotions) displays student's last test date, and next test information.

Adding or viewing phone numbers now displays properly.

Special teams field expanded for longer team names.

Changes to the Vault for Canadian users. Also to password access.

When creating Accounts, passwords must now be 4 characters or more.

Custom field labels updated to display properly on server based installations.

Redesigned progress screens when Restoring or Updating. New "One Moment Please" screen.

Clear All button only clears fields on the Find screen being viewed.

When Updating to a newer version, users are warned in advance if a new Registration is required.

The list of classes on the School Setup screen now displays class names sorted by the Sort # field. If blank, the list is sorted by Class Name.
